Rebecca is trekking the Sahara for St Christopher's

Help me reach my goal of £1,990

Trekking across ancient dried up river beds, sand dunes and vast sun-baked plains...

In November 2026, I'm venturing into the heart of the Sahara on an unforgettable trek across golden dunes and diverse desert terrain. The trip includes two full days and two half days of trekking in intense heat and camping under the stars each night. 

It will be a difficult but incredible challenge all for a good cause. 

Why I'm supporting St Christopher's

St Christopher’s Hospice exists to promote and provide skilled and compassionate palliative care of the highest quality.

Their vision is of a world in which all dying people and those close to them have access to appropriate care and support, when they need it, wherever they need it and whoever they are.

They rely on the generosity of their community, through fundraising campaigns like this, to continue providing our specialist palliative care and familiy care services free of charge.

No turning back now - I have signed up for this amazing adventure for a totally amazing cause.
Anyone living in my local area will be aware of the fantastic work of St Christopher's hospice and will have some connection either through friends and family who have worked there, received their loving and compassionate care or fundraised for them.
EVERY PENNY I RAISE goes to St Christopher's so PLEASE support me!
It's going to be hot, sandy, sweaty (no shower or running water) and I'm praying that my hip/knee will be in full working order BUT it is going to be awesome too....sleeping under the stars, sharing food around an open fire and being in one of the most wonderous landscapes in the world.

SO please DIG DEEP - I'll be starting my training soon (not quite the same conditions this time of year but may be heading to the beaches) and will be keeping you all updated of developments as they arise!
