Amanda is walking for St Christopher's

I'm fundraising for...

Hi everyone,

I’m raising funds for St Christopher’s Hospice—a place that’s become incredibly important to my family and me, and is now very close to my heart.

As many of you know, my mum is currently receiving care at home through their amazing services. The compassion, love, dignity, and support they provide makes a world of difference to us every single day. What they do is nothing short of extraordinary.

About St Christopher’s Hospice

St Christopher’s is dedicated to delivering expert palliative and end-of-life care to anyone who needs it—wherever they are, whenever they need it—across five London boroughs: Bromley, Croydon, Lambeth, Lewisham, and Southwark. Their support extends far beyond the patient, offering essential help to families navigating some of the most difficult moments in life.

This life-changing work depends heavily on fundraising. It costs £28.5 million each year to run the hospice, with £16.7 million of that needing to come from donations.

To give something back, I’ve set myself a goal of fundraising £1,000 — and I’m taking on two challenges to help make it happen:

11th May – Keston Fun Walk

I’ll be walking 11 miles through the countryside—my first milestone on this journey.

16th August – Snowdon by Night

This one’s a big one. I’m taking on a unique challenge of climbing Mount Snowdon at night, reaching the summit under the stars, and descending at sunrise. It’ll be tough, but every step will be for the amazing care St Christopher’s provides—and for my beautiful, strong mum.

Every single donation, no matter how small, helps the hospice continue their incredible work—providing care, comfort, and dignity to people in their final stages of life, and supporting families like mine along the way.

If you’re able to donate, I would be incredibly grateful. And if you could share this page with friends, family, or colleagues, that would mean even more.

For those who know me well, you’ll know I usually only run for a train (and that happens more often than I’d like to admit, thanks to my chronic inability to leave the house on time!). So, trust me, this is definitely a challenge. I’ll be sharing updates on social media as I train and juggle the usual chaos of daily life to help keep myself accountable.

Thank you for being part of this with me.

With love,

Amanda
