St Christopher’s Hospice exists to promote and provide skilled and compassionate palliative care of the highest quality.

Their vision is of a world in which all dying people and those close to them have access to appropriate care and support, when they need it, wherever they need it and whoever they are.

They rely on the generosity of their community, through fundraising campaigns like this, to continue providing our specialist palliative care and familiy care services free of charge.

Thank you for your support.

My Updates

Help Me Support St Christopher’s Hospice in my Cycle from London to Paris!

Thursday 9th Jan

This September, I’m taking on a challenge: cycling from Crystal Palace, London to the Palace of Versailles, Paris. Why? To raise vital funds for St. Christopher’s Hospice, a compassionate organization that I’m proud to work for, providing care and support to people in South London facing life-limiting and life-threatening illnesses.

St. Christopher’s Hospice offers expert medical care, emotional and practical support, and dignity to patients and their families during the most challenging times of their lives. My cycle will be driven by the inspiring stories of care that this amazing team makes possible every day.

But I can’t do it without your help. Together, we can ensure St. Christopher’s continues to make a difference. Your donation will go directly to funding vital services, for example:

  • £21: A session in our gym to help someone regain mobility.
  • £60: A singing session to alleviate the symptoms of breathlessness.
  • £400: A day’s care at home, allowing a patient to be surrounded by loved ones.
  • £5,500: A month’s salary for a full-time community nurse, providing expert care at home.

It takes over £24 million a year to keep St. Christopher’s services running, and we rely on donations to raise over £16 million of that total. Every single contribution, no matter the size, makes a difference.

Your support doesn’t just fund doctors and nurses—it also sustains the work of healthcare assistants, physiotherapists, counsellors, music and art therapists, social workers, and so many more. These dedicated professionals provide essential care and support to patients and their families, ensuring no one faces these difficult moments alone.

Here’s what your support means in real terms:

“After we lost him, St. Christopher’s called to check on me. They listened when I needed it most and helped me say what I hadn’t been able to tell anyone else. They will never know how much that call meant.”
—Wife of a St. Christopher’s patient

Together, we can keep this lifeline going for the families who need it most. Every pound counts—whether it’s £5 or £50, your donation will make a real impact.

Thank you for helping me make every mile of this journey count!
