We’re walking in memory of Jennifer Slaughter/Seeley (Jen), a much loved and sorely missed daughter, mum, wife, niece, cousin and friend
We’re walking in memory of Jen who was diagnosed with terminal cancer in April 2013 and sadly died just seven months later at the age of 27. She had been recently married and had a two year old son.
Jennifer was cared for by St Christopher’s as an inpatient during the last stages of her illness and the care and support that she, her family and friends received was just phenomenal. Jennifer’s needs and wishes were paramount to every member of staff and she was always treated with the utmost respect and dignity. I really don’t know how we would have coped without them.
As with all Hospice care, St Christopher’s rely on public donations and funding to be able to carry on and to provide the vital care that they deliver to those who need it in what are often desperate and traumatic circumstances for patients and their loved ones. We will never be able to thank them enough for all the help and support we received but what we can try to do is to help in some small way by raising awareness and funds for them. Please help if you are able to by sponsoring us and making a donation, it really doesn’t matter how small that might be, it really is true that every little helps.
Fun Walk is St Christopher's biggest fundraising event of the year.
2025's event was attended by over 2500 walkers and raised over a whopping £220,000!
With live music, entertainment, street food and vintage shopping, come join the festival feeling on Keston Common on 10th May 2026
