Why I’m walking for St Christopher’s
Tuesday 24th Feb I’m walking in memory of my beautiful daughter Jennifer who was diagnosed with terminal cancer in April 2013 and sadly died just seven months later at the age of 27. She had been recently married and had a 2 year old son.Jennifer was cared for by St Christopher’s as an in patient during the last stages of her illness and the care and support she and us, her family received was just phenomenal. Jennifer’s needs and wishes were paramount to every member of staff and she was always treated with the utmost respect and dignity, I really don’t know how we would have coped without them.
Sadly like all Hospice care, St Christopher’s relies on public donations and funding to be able to carry on and to provide the vital care that they deliver to those who need it in what are often desperate and traumatic circumstances for patients and for their loved ones. We will never be able to thank them enough for all the help and support we received but what we try to do is to help in some small way by raising awareness and funds for them.
Please help if you are able by making a donation, it really doesn’t matter how small that might be, it really is true that every little helps
Thank you 🙏 xxx
