Fun Walk 2026

Tell everyone why your walking...

Fun Walk is St Christopher's biggest fundraising event of the year.

2025's event was attended by over 2,500 walkers and raised over a whopping £220,000!

With live music, entertainment, street food and vintage shopping, come join the festival feeling on Keston Common on 10th May 2026!

I'll be there, walking for my local hospice. Sponsor me and help to provide expert end of life care to people in South London.

Thank you.

A place of light in the darkness

Monday 9th Mar

No one wants to hear the words "hospice care," as they often evoke thoughts of endings and darkness. But St Christopher’s is not that place. It is a place of compassion, hope, and support.
Ten years ago, on July 8, 2016, my dad closed his tired eyes surrounded by both his blood family and the caring team at St Christopher’s. He had no fear, and there was no darkness—only peace. After a 7.5-year battle with prostate cancer, Dad chose St Christopher’s to be his final resting place, comforted by love and tenderness.
St Christopher’s brought light into a dark journey. It provided respite care, companionship, and moments of joy—Dad joined the weekly club, where volunteers picked him up for games, gym sessions, and social outings. He enjoyed his sneaky blueberry muffin, making memories that mattered.
This care is made possible by the generosity of supporters like you. 70% of the hospice’s funding comes from donations, which cover meals, treatments, end-of-life care, and bereavement support. These vital services ensure that no one faces this journey alone.
While none of us want to hear the words "hospice care," it is a source of comfort to know that help is available when it’s needed most.
Two years ago, my brother-in-law Michael faced his own battle. Thanks to St Christopher’s community and hospice care, he received the support he needed. Their presence made all the difference for our family.
Every penny counts. Your support helps sustain the care that families like mine and yours rely on during their most difficult times.
Thank you for your continued generosity over the past decade. I invite you to stand with us once again—your donation will help keep St Christopher’s caring hand open to those who need it most.
Together, we can make a difference.
