I'am Rob and a proud patient of St Christophers Sydenham
Just over one year ago I was diagnosed 'out of the blue' with thyroid and spinal cancer "stage 4", since then I have entered the world of cancer and have endured various treatments, including two major spinal surgeries, spinal fusion, radiotherapy, a thyroidectomy, radiation etc, etc, etc,. but I am still here, and being positive. While me and my family are familiar with cancer which has made the conversations easier, it is now me. My prognosis is good 'everything crossed', but there has been a few humps in the road, including learning to walk and stand properly again a couple of times last year,
So the walking is getting better and while the 3 miles will be a real challenge for me, I am walking for all the patients at St Christophers.
