Lorna is trekking the Sahara for St Christopher's

Help me reach my goal of £1,990

Trekking across ancient dried up river beds, sand dunes and vast sun-baked plains...

In November 2026, I'm venturing into the heart of the Sahara on an unforgettable trek across golden dunes and diverse desert terrain. The trip includes two full days and two half days of trekking in intense heat and camping under the stars each night. 

It will be a difficult but incredible challenge all for a good cause. 

Why I'm supporting St Christopher's

St Christopher’s Hospice exists to promote and provide skilled and compassionate palliative care of the highest quality.

Their vision is of a world in which all dying people and those close to them have access to appropriate care and support, when they need it, wherever they need it and whoever they are.

They rely on the generosity of their community, through fundraising campaigns like this, to continue providing our specialist palliative care and familiy care services free of charge.

I have worked at St Christopher’s for 18 years now in different roles. Each day has been an opportunity to positively touch the life of a patient, their family and colleagues within and without the hospice. I have done running fundraising events for St Christopher’s so wanted to do something different. It is my chance to give back to the charity I work for and contribute towards the care and services we offer to our community.  Thank you for your support and anything you are able to give. I and St Christopher’s really appreciate it.
