Why I'm supporting St Christopher's

In November 2026, I’ll be heading to the Sahara Desert for an unforgettable trek — two full days and two half days of walking across golden dunes and rugged terrain, camping beneath the stars each night.

I’ve worked at St Christopher’s Hospice for 2.5 years and see every day the incredible care, compassion, and support our hospice provides to patients and their families. I’ve been involved in fundraising before, but this time I wanted to take on something truly big — to challenge myself and show just how much this place means to me. I’m so excited (and a little nervous!) to take on the desert heat and make every step count for St Christopher’s.

St Christopher’s Hospice exists to promote and provide skilled and compassionate palliative care of the highest quality. Their vision is of a world in which all dying people and those close to them have access to appropriate care and support, when they need it, wherever they need it, and whoever they are.

They rely on the generosity of their community, through fundraising campaigns like this, to continue providing specialist palliative and family care services free of charge.
