Why I am walking.

Thursday 16th Apr I feel honoured to be doing the St Christopher’s Hospice Fun Walk in memory of “Sunshine Sally’ along with some of her other friends. Sally and I first met when our daughters were at school together and I liked her at once. She was so warm, friendly and kind, full of positive energy, enthusiasm and humour. She was interesting and interested and the best of company.
That said, our lives were in different orbits in recent years, but I was always glad to hear of her full and busy life. She seemed such a fit and healthy person that I was shocked to learn of her cancer diagnosis and so sad to hear of her death soon afterwards. I will be thinking of Sally as I walk, but will also be remembering my cousin Richard, lovely Norma and others I have known who benefited from St Christopher’s excellent end of life care.

Any contribution, however small, will be much appreciated and go towards the wonderful work of St Christopher’s Hospice. Thank you.
